  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • chocolate chips
  • sifted flour
  • oatmeal - 2 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • butter, margarine or shortening - 1 c
  • Rice Krispies, corn flakes or Total

How to make chocolate chip oatmeal cookies:

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, salt and soda. Mix well. Stir in cereal and chocolate chips. Bake at 325° for 5 to 7 minutes. Approximate yield: 5 dozen.
