- nuts - 1 c
- egg yolk - 1 item
- plain flour, sifted - 4 c
- sticks butter no margarine - 3 item
- confectioners sugar heaping - 1 c
How to make shortbread:
Soften butter and add sugar and egg yolks; mix well. Add flour until all is worked in. Add finely chopped nuts. Place dough down until 1/4-inch deep on a cookie sheet and score dough with a fork. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour in a 325° oven. Cut into squares while hot and let cool in the pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, English.
