  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 4 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • white sugar - 2 c
  • shortening plus 1 c - 1 c

How to make chocolate chip cookies:

Cream the shortening, sugars and eggs. Slowly add flour, soda, salt and vanilla. Stir in chips and nuts. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
