- melted butter - 3 Tbsp
- chopped walnuts - 3/4 c
- crushed graham crackers - 3/4 c
- fresh lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
How to make chocolate chip cheesecake:
Filling:4 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened to room temperature4 eggs1 1/4 c. sugar1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice2 tsp. vanilla1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips Topping:2 c. sour cream1/4 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 350°. Lightly butter a 9 or 10-inch spring-form pan.Crust: Combine walnuts, graham cracker crumbs and butter. Press compactly onto bottom of pan.
Filling: Beat the cream cheese in large bowl with electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs, sugar, lemon juice and vanilla. Add chips; blend in. Spoon mixture over crust. Set on baking sheet to catch drips. Bake a 10-inch cake for 40 to 45 minutes and a 9-inch cake for 50 to 55 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes after baking.
Topping: Combine sour cream, sugar and vanilla; blend well. Cover and refrigerate. When cake has cooled 15 minutes, pour topping over and bake 5 minutes longer. Let cool and refrigerate until serving time (24 hours is best).
