Chocolate chip cheesecake
Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 3/4 c
- sugar - 1 item
- eggs - 3 item
- pkg - 3 oz
- semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 c
- almond extract - 3/4 tsp
- butter or margarine, softened - 3/4 c
- grated orange peel - 2 tsp
- ground walnuts - 3/4 c
How to make chocolate chip cheesecake:
Knead with hand in a small bowl graham cracker crumbs, ground walnuts, 4 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons sugar until blended. Press crumb mixture onto bottom and half way up side of a 9 x 3-inch spring-form pan. Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl with mixer at low speed, beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup butter until smooth. Add orange peel, almond extract, eggs and 1/2 cup sugar; beat until well blended, occasionally scraping bowl with a rubber spatula. Fold in chocolate pieces. Spoon into pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool and cover; refrigerate for at least 4 hours. To serve, carefully remove side of pan from cheese cake.
