  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • sour cream - 3/4 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • soda
  • shortening - 1/4 c
  • melted chocolate - 4 oz

How to make chocolate cake:

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix all dry ingredients. Add water, sour cream, eggs, chocolate and vanilla; mix until well blended. Pour into two 8-inch round pans (lightly greased). Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Use icing of your choice.
