Sour cream chocolate cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/4 c
- melted unsweetened chocolate, cooled - 4 oz
How to make sour cream chocolate cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch oblong pan or 2 (9-inch) or 3 (8-inch) round layer pans. Measure all ingredients into large mixing bowl. Mix 1/2 minute on low speed. Beat 3 minutes on high speed. Scrape bowl. Pour into pan(s). Bake until top springs back when touched lightly with finger. Cool.
