Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa
- stick butter - 1 item
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Bring all ingredients, except first two, to a boil in pan, then pour over dry ingredients
How to make chocolate cake:
Mix flour and sugar in large bowl. Bring all ingredients, except first two, to a boil in pan, then pour over dry ingredients. Stir until flour is absorbed. Add 1/2 cup buttermilk, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Grease 11 x 14-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.Icing:1 stick butter3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa1/3 c. milk1 c. chopped walnuts1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla Mix butter, cocoa and milk. Bring ingredients to a boil.
