eggs - 2 item
vanilla - 1 tsp
milk - 6 Tbsp
flour - 2 c
water - 1 c
soda - 1 tsp
cocoa - 1/3 c
nuts - 1 c
powdered sugar - 1 lb
margarine - 1 c
Add remaining ingredients
buttermilk * - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate brownie cake:

Bring to a boil cocoa, margarine and water. Add remaining ingredients. Beat well. Bake 20 minutes at 400°. Five minutes before cake is done, fix frosting. Bake in greased 13 x 9-inch pan.

*Buttermilk = 1/2 cup regular milk plus 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice or vinegar. Let set 5 minutes.Frosting:1/3 c. cocoa1/2 c. margarine6 Tbsp. milk1 lb. powdered sugar1 c. nuts1 tsp. vanilla Boil cocoa, margarine and milk. Beat in sugar. Add nuts and vanilla. Ice cake while hot.
