  • flour - 2 c
  • sugar - 2 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • cocoa
  • Crisco oil - 1/2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk or 1 1/2 tsp - 1/3 c
  • Combine oleo, cocoa, oil and water in pan
  • milk - 1/3 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • powdered sugar - 1 lb
  • nuts - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate sheath cake:

Mix flour and sugar; set aside. Combine oleo, cocoa, oil and water in pan. Bring to boil. Pour over flour and sugar while hot. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Bake 20 minutes on cookie sheet at 375°.Icing:1 stick margarine3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa1/3 c. milk dash of salt1 lb. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. nuts Put margarine, cocoa, milk and salt in pan and boil. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Pour over cake while both are still warm.
