Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 6 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • cocoa
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • beaten eggs - 2 item
  • stick oleo, melted - 1 item
  • walnuts optional - 1 item
  • Icing:1 stick oleo
  • cocoa 1 1/2 sq - 4 Tbsp

How to make chocolate brownie cake:

Icing:1 stick oleo4 scant Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk walnuts (optional) In a big bowl, put sugar and flour. Set aside. Mix together oleo, cocoa, oil and water. Pour over flour and sugar mixture. Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, salt and baking soda. Bake in greased 17 x 11 x 1-inch sheet pan.

For Icing: In a saucepan, bring to boil the oleo, milk and cocoa. Remove from heat; add vanilla, powdered sugar, pinch of salt and walnuts. Spread on warm cake. Bake cake at 400° for 20 minutes.
