Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • large eggs - 6 item
  • salad oil - 1 item
  • chopped green onion - 1 Tbsp
  • frozen peas, thawed - 1/2 c
  • cooked ham, diced - 1/4 lb
  • regular long grain rice or 3 c - 1 c

How to make chinese fried rice:

Prepare rice. Beat eggs with salt in bowl. Set aside. In 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat in 2 tablespoons of hot oil, gently stir rice until rice is well coated with oil. Push rice to one side of skillet.

In same skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil until hot. Pour in eggs. Cook, stirring quickly until eggs are cooked. Mix eggs with rice. Stir in ham and peas. Heat through. Sprinkle with green onion. Yields 4 servings.
