Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 1/3 c
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- light cream - 1/2 c
- chicken broth - 3 c
- chopped, cooked chicken - 1 c
- cooked carrots optional - 1/2 c
- cooked celery optional - 1/2 c
How to make chicken velvet soup:
Melt butter in saucepan. Blend in flour and add milk, light cream and broth. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Reduce heat. Stir in chicken and dash of pepper. Heat again until boiling. Add optional vegetables (if desired).Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chicken, Poultry.
