Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1/2 c
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • butter - 6 Tbsp
  • light cream - 1/2 c
  • chicken broth - 3 c
  • chopped, cooked chicken - 1 c
  • cooked carrots optional - 1/2 c
  • cooked celery optional - 1/2 c

How to make chicken velvet soup:

Melt butter in saucepan. Blend in flour and add milk, light cream and broth. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Reduce heat. Stir in chicken and dash of pepper. Heat again until boiling. Add optional vegetables (if desired).
