Ingredients/Components

- water - 3 c
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- long grain rice
- frozen peas - 1 c

- large can tomatoes, cut up - 1 item
- chicken bouillons - 2 item
- can sliced pimiento, drained and chopped - 1 oz
How to make chicken rice bake:
Sprinkle chicken with salt. In a 12-inch skillet, brown chicken in hot oil, about 15 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet. In the remaining drippings, cook rice, onion and garlic. Add water, undrained tomatoes, bouillon, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Stir well. Arrange chicken on top of rice. Cover and simmer 30 to 35 minutes or until chicken is tender. Stir in peas and pimiento. Cover and cook 5 minutes more.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, One Dish meal.
