Chicken cordon bleu
Ingredients/Components
- , split 8 pieces - 4 boneless,
- thin slices boiled ham, cut into halves - 4 item
- seasoned bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- White Wine Sauce recipe in this book - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 8 tsp
- thin slices Mozzarella cheese - 8 item
- mayonnaise - 1 Tbsp
- warm water - 1 Tbsp
- lemon wedges optional - 1 item
How to make chicken cordon bleu:
Pound chicken with a meat mallet to 1/4 inch thickness. Sprinkle each piece with 1 teaspoon of the parsley. Top each with 1 slice cheese and 1/2 slice ham. Roll up tightly; secure with wooden picks. Mix mayonnaise and water in a shallow dish. Roll chicken in mayonnaise mixture, then in bread crumbs to coat. Place in a greased baking pan. Bake in a preheated 425° oven until cooked through, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove wooden picks.To serve, spoon White Wine Sauce over chicken rolls. Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.
