Ingredients/Components
- chicken legs with thighs - 4 item
- corn oil - 2 Tbsp
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, pressed - 2 item
- small onion, peeled and chopped - 1 item
- plum tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- marjoram, chopped
- oregano - 2 tsp
- basil, chopped - 1 Tbsp
- thyme, chopped - 1/2 tsp
- rosemary, chopped - 1/2 tsp
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- water
- fresh lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- dry white wine - 1 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
How to make chicken cacciatore:
Pour off excess fat, leaving the brown drippings in the broiler pan. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water to pan; heat and stir. Season to taste. Unthickened gravy is best for steaks.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
