Chicken and rice casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- melted margarine - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- parsley flakes - 2 tsp
- chicken broth - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise - 2/3 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- cooked rice - 3 c
- celery salt - 1/4 tsp
- can English peas - 1 item
- whole chicken, cooked, deboned and cut up - 1 item
How to make chicken and rice casserole:
Saute celery and onion in margarine. Combine rice, celery, onion, margarine, parsley flakes, salt, celery salt, pepper and peas with chicken broth. Place in 3-quart baking dish. Place chicken over this. Combine soup, mayonnaise and milk. Spread over chicken. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
