Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- coconut - 1/2 c
- cornmeal - 1/4 c
How to make chess pie:
Cream sugar, flour, meal and butter; add beaten eggs. Beat and add milk, salt, coconut and flavoring. Mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 475° until it begins to brown and then reduce heat to 300° until set. (Add pecans if desired.)Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
