Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 1 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 3 item
- vinegar
- pie shell - 1 item
How to make chess pie:
Cream butter and 1 cup sugar. Add flour. Add egg yolks, water, vinegar and vanilla. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes in uncooked pie shell. Cover with meringue made with whites of egg and remaining sugar.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
