Ingredients/Components
- vanilla
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/3 c
- all-purpose flour
- can pineapple slices - 1 oz
- maraschino cherries, halved - 4 item
How to make pineapple upside-down cake:
Drain pineapple; reserve liquid. Halve slices. Melt butter in 9-inch round pan, 1 1/2-inches high. Stir in brown sugar and 1 tablespoon reserved pineapple liquid. Add water to remaining liquid to make 2/3 cup. Arrange pineapple and cherries in pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Pineapple.
