  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 1 c
  • flour - 3 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • nuts - 1/2 3/4
  • Crisco - 1/3 c
  • lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
  • sweet milk - 1 c
  • jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped - 1 oz

How to make cherry nut pound cake:

Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar; beat until creamy. Add 1 egg at a time, beating well with each addition. Add baking powder and flavorings. Alternate flour and milk; beat 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the cherries.
