Cheesy chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- chicken breasts - 4 item
- seasoned bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- fresh mushrooms, sauteed - 1 pt
- bunches fresh broccoli, steamed - 2 item
How to make cheesy chicken casserole:
Simmer chicken until tender; pull from bones and discard skin and bones. Cook the rice and set aside. Stir together soup, mayonnaise, milk and cheese. Butter a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Cover bottom of dish with cooked rice. Top with chicken and add 1/2 of soup mixture. Add broccoli and mushrooms and cover with rest of the soup mixture. Melt butter and mix with bread crumbs. Cover casserole with the bread crumbs. Bake at 350° for 30 or 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
