Ingredients/Components
- stick butter - 1 item
- plain flour
- grated cheese
- red pepper - 1/2 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
How to make cheese straws:
Soften butter and cheese together. Sift flour, salt and red pepper together. Combine mixture and work until very smooth. Divide in half and roll on floured surface. Roll out very thin and cut in long strips, approximately 1/2 x 2 1/2-inches. Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes. Yields 3 to 4 dozen.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, < 15 mins, Cheese.
