Cheese puffs
Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
- jars Old English sharp cheese - 2 item
- white loaf bread
- 1/2 sticks oleo soft - 1 item
How to make cheese puffs:
Mix all ingredients, except butter, in mixer until smooth. Cut bread in small rounds with cutter (about 1 1/2-inch diameter). Cover one round with spread, then top with another round of bread. Cover with spread on top and sides as if icing a cake. Place all "iced" rounds on cookie sheet and freeze. When frozen, can be transferred to a plastic bag and kept in freezer until ready to bake. Bake in 350° oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve warm. Makes about 50 to 60.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Appetizers, Cheese.
