sugar - 1 c
vanilla - 1 tsp
salt - 1 tsp
flour - 2 c
brown sugar - 1 c
soda - 2 tsp
shortening - 1 c
oatmeal uncooked - 2 c
eggs, added one at a time - 2 item
cornflakes, crushed a little - 1 c

How to make cereal cookies:

Mix in order given (shortening, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and flour, first; then soda, salt, vanilla, oatmeal and cornflakes, second). Form into small balls. Place on cookie sheet and press flat with tines of fork. Bake in moderate oven on lightly greased cookie sheet.
