Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- cream cheese
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- confectioners sugar - 3 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- salad oil
- eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
- soda baking - 2 tsp
- grated carrots about 7 medium - 3 c
How to make carrot cake:
Frosting:4 oz. cream cheese3 c. confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. butter Cake: Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, cinnamon and salt. Combine the eggs, salad oil and vanilla. Add cream mixture to dry ingredients. Stir until well blended. Add carrots. Blend ingredients well. Pour batter into two (9-inch) cake pans or one (13 x 9-inch) pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes.Frosting: Mix and spread over cool cake.
