Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • grated carrots - 3 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • corn oil
  • stick butter or margarine - 1 item
  • Add oil, eggs, vanilla and blend well

How to make carrot cake:

Mix all dry ingredients together. Add oil, eggs, vanilla and blend well. Bake in three 9-inch pans at 350° for 30 minutes.Frosting:1 c. chopped pecans1 box powdered sugar1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 stick butter (or margarine)1 tsp. vanilla Cream the cheese and butter. Add sugar, vanilla and pecans. Blend well. Add milk if necessary to spread.
