  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • popped corn - 8 qt
  • white Karo syrup - 1/2 c
  • sticks butter margarine - 2 item

How to make caramel popcorn:

Boil sugar, Karo, butter and salt for 5 minutes (hard boil stage). Take off fire. Add soda and vanilla. Pour over corn. Stir well and bake 1 hour at 250°, stirring every 15 minutes.
