Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- milk
- margarine - 5 6
- pecans - 1 c
- white corn syrup - 3 Tbsp
How to make caramel fudge:
Caramelize 1/2 cup sugar; set aside. Combine sugar, corn syrup and milk in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and slowly add caramelized sugar, stirring constantly. Cook to soft ball stage (238°). Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla. Let cook until pan feels lukewarm. Beat until mixture thickens. Add pecans and pour into greased 8 x 8-inch pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Candy, Fudge.
