Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- pecans - 1/2 c
- Karo syrup - 1/2 c
- popcorn - 20 c
- pinch of cream of tartar - 1 item
How to make caramel corn:
Combine brown sugar, margarine and syrup. Boil 5 minutes. Add salt, vanilla, soda and cream of tartar (it should foam up). Pour over popcorn and nuts. Put in dish and bake at 250° to 275° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread out after removing from oven.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
