  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • light Karo syrup - 1/2 c
  • popped popcorn - 6 qt
  • 2 sticks oleo or butter - 1 c

How to make caramel corn:

Mix brown sugar, Karo syrup and oleo or butter together. Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Take baking soda and add to syrup mixture. Mix well. Pour over popcorn. Bake for 1 hour at 250°, stirring a few times.
