Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- sticks oleo - 2 item
- white Karo syrup - 1/2 c
- pinch of cream of tartar - 1 item
How to make caramel corn:
Bring the brown sugar oleo and Karo syrup to a rolling boil and cook for 5 minutes. Add the soda, cream of tartar and salt. Mix well. Pour over 7 to 8 quarts popped corn. Place in 2 buttered cookie sheets and bake at 200° for 1 hour. Stir a couple of times. Peanuts may be added.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
