Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- sticks oleo - 2 item
- white Karo syrup - 1/2 c
- popcorn - 8 qt
- pinches salt - 4 item
- pinch cream of tartar - 1 item
How to make caramel corn:
Boil for 5 minutes the brown sugar, syrup, salt and oleo. Remove from heat. Add soda and cream of tartar. Pour over popcorn. Stir for four minutes on cookie sheet or in shallow pan. Bake 1 hour at 250°. Stir 2 or 3 times while baking. Put in container and seal. Keeps very good. (So nice and crisp.)Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
