Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- popped corn - 6 7
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- white Karo syrup - 1/2 c
- sticks butter or oleo - 2 item
How to make caramel corn:
Mix syrup, oleo and sugar; bring to a boil. Boil 6 minutes (until thread forms when dropped from spoon). Remove from heat. Add cream of tartar, soda and salt. Stir until well mixed. Pour over popped corn; stir until all kernels are coated. Place in container that can be placed in oven. Bake 1 hour at 200°, stirring often. Keep in airtight container.Blue Ribbon.
