- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 c
- water - 10 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
How to make canned apple pie filling:
Peel and slice apples. Fill quart jars tightly. Cook syrup until thick and bubbly. Add lemon juice. Process 20 minutes in water bath or process in pressure canner 8 minutes at 5 pounds pressure.Recipe categories: Low protein, Fruit, Apple.
