  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 1 c
  • water - 10 c
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • lemon juice - 3 Tbsp

How to make canned apple pie filling:

Peel and slice apples. Fill quart jars tightly. Cook syrup until thick and bubbly. Add lemon juice. Process 20 minutes in water bath or process in pressure canner 8 minutes at 5 pounds pressure.
