Candy turtles
Ingredients/Components
- semi-sweet chocolate - 4 sq
- heavy cream - 2 Tbsp
- pecan halves
- caramels 25 - 1/2 lb
How to make candy turtles:
Melt caramels with cream over hot water. Let cool about 10 minutes. Arrange pecan halves in groups of 3 on lightly greased baking sheet (1 for head and 2 for legs). Spoon melted caramel over nuts, leaving tips showing. Let stand 30 minutes. Melt chocolate over hot water. Remove from water; stir until smooth. Cool. Spread over caramel of turtles (do not cover nut tips). Makes 24 turtles.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Candy.
