Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 1/3 c
- stick margarine - 3/4 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- water - 1/2 c
- melted butter - 1/4 c
- large, raw sweet potatoes - 2 item
How to make candied yams:
In a 1 1/2-quart baking dish, slice potatoes about 1/4-inch thick. Combine sugar, 3/4 stick margarine, water and cinnamon; bring to a boil. Pour over potatoes and bake at 300° for 45 minutes. When potatoes are tender, top with mixture of brown sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, flour and chopped nuts mixed well.
