Ingredients/Components
- slices pepperoni - 32 item
- part-skim Ricotta cheese - 1 c
- can refrigerated pizza crust - 1 oz
- shredded reduced-fat Mozzarella cheese - 1 c
- frozen bell pepper and onions, thawed and patted dry - 1 c
How to make calzones:
Heat oven to 425°. Coat a baking sheet with a nonstick spray. Unroll pizza crust on a cutting board and stretch dough into a 12-inch square. Cut in quarters (you'll have four 6-inch squares).For each calzone, sprinkle 2 tablespoons shredded cheese on right half of square, leaving a 1/2-inch border on top, bottom and right side. Top with 8 slices of pepperoni, 1/4 cup of Ricotta and another 2 tablespoons shredded cheese and 1/4 cup pepper mixture. Fold left side of dough over filling; press edges together to seal. Place on prepared baking sheet; poke 4 slits in top with sharp knife to let steam escape. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
