- salt - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- self-rising flour
- nutmeg to taste - 1/2 tsp
- cooked rice soft
- warm milk with 1 tsp - 1/4 c
How to make calas:
Place soft rice in a bowl. Add eggs, flour, salt and nutmeg. Beat until smooth. Drop by tablespoon in deep, hot fat and fry golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 8 servings.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, Rice.
