Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- salad oil - 3/4 c
- Worcestershire sauce
- red wine vinegar - 1/4 c
- Dijon mustard
- hard-cooked eggs, chopped - 3 item
- olive oil - 1/4 c
- black pepper - 3/4 tsp
- chopped chives - 2 Tbsp
- dash of lemon juice - 1 item
- garlic clove, crushed - 1/2 item
- tomatoes, cut in wedges - 2 item
- chicken breasts, cooked and chopped - 2 item
- strips crisp bacon - 6 item
- avocado, sliced - 1 item
- crumbled Roquefort cheese - 1/2 c
- Salad: greens mixture of lettuce, watercress, romaine and chickory
How to make cobb salad:
Salad: greens (mixture of lettuce, watercress, romaine and chickory)2 tomatoes, cut in wedges2 chicken breasts, cooked and chopped6 strips crisp bacon1 avocado, sliced3 hard-cooked eggs, chopped2 Tbsp. chopped chives1/2 c. crumbled Roquefort cheese Dressing: Blend all ingredients except the oil. Add oil slowly to blender; chill. Shake before serving.Salad: Arrange tomatoes, chicken, bacon and avocado decoratively on greens. Sprinkle chopped eggs, cheese and chives on top. Pour dressing over and toss before serving. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
