Ingredients/Components
- large cabbage leaves, simmered in boiling water for 3 minutes - 12 item
- cooked rice or instant - 1 c
- water - 1/3 c
- salt
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- beaten egg - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- hamburger - 1 lb
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
How to make cabbage rolls:
Mix rice, water, salt, thyme, egg, onion and pepper. Mix in hamburger. Put 1/4 cup meat mixture in each cabbage leaf and roll up. Mix tomato sauce, lemon juice and brown sugar; pour on top. Simmer 1 hour in 350° oven.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Pork.
