  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • shredded cabbage - 3 c
  • sliced celery - 1/2 c
  • can tomatoes - 1 item
  • can kidney beans - 1 item
  • chili powder or 1 can chili beans - 1 tsp

How to make cabbage patch stew:

Combine the first 7 ingredients. Brown until meat loses pink color. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and then simmer about 30 to 45 minutes. Other vegetables may be added, if desired.
