Cabbage patch soup


Ingredients/Components
- chopped onion - 1 c
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- chopped green pepper - 1 c
- oregano - 1 tsp
- chili powder - 1 to
- lean ground beef - 2 lb
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- beef bouillon cubes - 3 item
- can kidney beans, rinsed and drained - 1 oz
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 oz
- head red cabbage, chopped - 1/2 item
- head white cabbage, chopped - 1/2 item
- Cheddar cheese optional - 1 item
How to make cabbage patch soup:
Saut?© onion, garlic, green pepper, oregano, chili powder and beef together. Drain fat, if any. Then add 7 to 8 cups water, depending on desired thickness. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese. Bring mixture to a boil and simmer for 1 hour. Can top with Cheddar cheese, grated. Serve with cornbread.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Main dish, One Dish meal.
