Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 4 c
- brown sugar - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- cream of tartar - 1 tsp
How to make butterscotch cookies:
Cream sugar, eggs, shortening and vanilla. Add flour, soda, cream of tartar and nuts. Work until soft dough. Chill 3 hours. Work in enough flour to roll out. Cut in desired shapes or roll dough in small balls and press out with a floured fork onto a lightly greased baking sheet.
