Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
  • finely chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • Mazola oil - 1 c

How to make butterscotch cookies:

Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs, well beaten. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture. Mix well. Make into long roll and refrigerate (wrapped) overnight. Next day, slice into 1/4-inch slices and bake on greased cookie sheets at 400° for about 5 minutes or until golden. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
