Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • self-rising flour - 1/2 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • cake flour
  • sweet milk - 1 c
  • butter and nut flavoring - 1 Tbsp

How to make butternut pound cake:

Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs for 1 minute at high speed. Add 1 cup flour beating 1 minute. Add 2 other cups alternately with milk. Add flavoring and bake 1 hour at 325° then turn heat up to 350° for 10 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
