  • eggs - 4 item
  • self-rising flour - 1/2 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • cake flour
  • Crisco shortening - 1 c
  • canned milk - 1/4 c
  • sweet milk - 1 c
  • butternut flavoring - 1 Tbsp
  • Add eggs; mix well

How to make butternut pound cake:

Cream Crisco and sugar for 7 minutes at high speed. Add eggs; mix well. Add flavoring, flour and milk. Bake at 325° for 1 hour or until done.Icing:3 c. powdered sugar1/2 c. Crisco1/4 c. canned milk1 Tbsp. butternut flavoring Blend all ingredients well and spread on cake after the cake is cool.
