Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- cream cheese - 1 (8

- self-rising flour - 2/3 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco
- black walnut flavoring - 1 tsp
- black walnuts - 1 c
- sweet milk
- box confectioners sugar, sifted - 1 item
- Alternately add flour and milk, beating until creamy
How to make black walnut cake:
Cream sugar and Crisco in large mixing bowl; add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Alternately add flour and milk, beating until creamy. Add flavoring and nuts. Pour mixture in greased cake pan (I use tube pan). Bake for 1 hour and 40 minutes at 325°.Frosting:1 stick margarine1 (8 oz.) cream cheese1 box confectioners sugar, sifted Mix well and spread over cake.Note: Use cocoa if you like.
