- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- sifted flour - 3 c
- butter 2 sticks - 1 c
How to make buttermilk pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar; add whole eggs, one at a time. Mix together dry ingredients and alternate with buttermilk into creamed ingredients. Add vanilla and bake in large square or oblong pan. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 275° or 325°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, For large groups.
