Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • all purpose flour
  • baking powder
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c

How to make busy day cake:

Grease and lightly flour a 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. In a small mixing bowl combine all ingredients. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed. Turn into pan. Bake in 375° oven 25 to 30 minutes or till done. Cool. Serves 9.

Optional: You can add 1/4 cup nuts.
